About

What is Mottingham Big Local Refocused?

It’s one of 150 Big Local areas across England. Big Local schemes are led by local residents who decide how to spend the funding.

Big Locals are funded by the Lottery. Each Big Local aims to ‘bring together all the local talent, ambitions, skills and energy from individuals, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live’.

Who is involved?

Our Partnership Board is made up of local residents who have voting rights, and people from organisations who work in the area. These include Community Links Bromley and Clarion Futures. Community Links Bromley is also our Local Trusted Organisation.

Current Partnership Board members (as of December 2023):

  • John Westby, Independent Chair
  • Jenny Millen, resident member
  • Doreen Thompson, resident member
  • Joel Wallis, resident member
  • Sue Turner, resident member
  • Tre Lewis, resident member
  • Robert Brooks, non-resident member
  • Steve Madder, resident member
  • Marion Lakah, resident member
  • Ian Williams, resident member
  • Claudine Williams, resident member

This is the conflict of interest document that all MBLR board members adhere to.

What does the Partnership Board do?

The Partnership Board oversees the development and delivery of all aspects of the Big Local Plan, monitoring progress and promoting Big Local to the local community and organisations with a ‘stake’ in the area.

There are monthly meetings. Potential new resident members are welcome to attend a couple of meetings to get to know the Partnership and find out what’s involved.

Do you live in the area? Would you like to help to deliver the Big Local Programme? We also welcome local organisation partners. Please do get in touch using our online form.
